Today, there is a diverse range of sports offerings and associations on-Island.
Both locally and on the world stage, 2023 was another exciting year for the Cayman Islands sporting community. Fifteen local athletes represented Cayman at the 2023 Special Olympics World Games, where they successfully won 15 medals, including two golds won by swimmer Kanza Bodden and shotput thrower Shanike Ebanks. At the 2023 CARIFTA championships, Cayman successfully secured two golds and a bronze. Andrew Stone and Davonte Howell won in the U16 long jump and 100m sprint, respectively, while Anthony Chin secured a bronze in the U17 boys long jump. History was made at the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games, where they received their first-ever gold medal in swimming, won by Jillian Crooks. Andrew Stone also broke the long jump record and became the first Caymanian to win a gold for Cayman in athletics since 2000.

Each year, the Cayman Islands hosts world-class sporting events such as marathons, swim races, basketball tournaments and more.
