The National Gallery of the Cayman Islands (NGCI) has an extensive education schedule that offers a wealth of community programmes such as ‘Family Fun Days’ which take place roughly once per month, special events and free exhibition guides created for families to enjoy quality time together. In addition, they offer an after-school programme, ‘Walkers Art Club,’ for all ages from pre-schoolers to teens. Most recently, they've digitized the permanent National Gallery of the Cayman Islands collection, featuring it online in a both categorised and searchable format. They've also uploaded 3 virtual tours of their most recent exhibitions, including the current show, Island of Women. These virtual reality tours allow visitors to remotely experience an exhibition, and fully immerse themselves in the galleries exhibition space. Additionally, they've made a range of online resources available as well. Lesson packets, art activity sheets and discover sheets are available for download, free of charge! Adult classes include photography, ceramics, abstract painting and life drawing. Summer programmes for families are also offered.
