The Department of Health Regulatory Services (DHRS) monitors and regulates the health insurance and healthcare industry in the Cayman Islands. Approximately 93% of Cayman’s population is covered by health insurance, which is mandatory for all residents and must be obtained through an approved insurance provider. This includes the Government-owned CINICO and several other insurers that accept both individual and group applications for healthcare coverage.
