Cayman Carnival Batabano
Cayman’s national carnival, Batabano, is a major highlight on the island’s entertainment calendar. The carnival is a multi-day celebration featuring fetes, a junior street parade, music, dancing and vibrant cultural showcases, attracting thousands of locals and visitors each year.
In 2026, Batabano joins with CayMAS to form a unified celebration known as One Cayman Carnival, bringing together Cayman’s carnival community for a larger and more dynamic experience.
Events begin in early May with the Junior Batabano parade on Saturday 2nd May, followed by a series of fetes and celebrations throughout the month, culminating in the main road parade on Saturday 23rd May 2026 along the Seven Mile Beach corridor into George Town.
This updated format replaces the traditional early May parade schedule and creates a single, expanded carnival experience showcasing Caribbean music, costume and culture.
