The George Town Hospital location is a 127-bed facility and offers 24-hour accident and emergency services, ambulance services, an urgent care clinic, a paediatric clinic and ward, a women’s health clinic, full maternity services, and NICU, radiology, behavioral health services, including Alex’s Place (an Adolescent Mental Health Hub), a full-service pharmacy, laboratory services including a forensic unit and many diagnostic and specialist services.
Diagnostic services include: mammography, computerised tomography (CT Scan), laboratory services, a DNA forensic unit, a molecular biology laboratory, and many other facilities that can be expected in a modern healthcare setting.

Critical Care Unit
HSA Critical Care Unit (CCU) provides exceptional care for seriously ill patients in need of specialised treatment. The eight-bed unit is specifically designed to meet the complex needs of cardiac, respiratory, surgical, renal and trauma patients.
Dental Clinics
The HSA provides dental services intending to ensure that all Caymanians and residents can maintain a healthy mouth for life. This is achieved by preventing any preventable dental problems and efficiently distributing treatment resources to contain any remaining disease or deformity.

Dialysis
HSA is the primary provider of dialysis services in the Cayman Islands with a spacious Dialysis Unit at the Cayman Islands Hospital – the largest on the Islands.
The Dialysis Unit at the George Town Hospital can accommodate up to 13 dialysis patients at one time and dialyze 33 to 39 patients per day, on average. There is also a dialysis chair available at the Faith Hospital in Cayman Brac for our Sister Islands residents and visitors.
The Dialysis Unit at the George Town Hospital is open 6 days a week: Mondays to Saturdays and public holidays from 7am to midnight.
Dialysis service at the Faith Hospital is provided upon request and dependent on availability.
Diabetes Education Clinic
A Diabetes Education Clinic is available at the General Practice Clinic at Smith Road Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 pm to 5 pm in half-hour sessions.
Persons are empowered to manage diabetes through lifestyle modification (diet and exercise), medication adherence, prevention of complications, and blood glucose monitoring.

Forensic Science Laboratory
The Cayman Islands Forensic Science Laboratory is an established multifunctional, state-of-the-art laboratory, operated by the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority in Grand Cayman. Dedicated to the specialized care and treatment of patients 60 years and over, the HSA offers Geriatric medical care at the Specialist Clinic at Smith Road Medical Centre.

The world-class Pathology Laboratories in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac serve most of the population of the Cayman Islands. Women’s Health
Maternity
The George Town Hospital offers three single delivery suites, and eight maternity rooms with ensuite facilities (three single and five double rooms) and is home to the only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on the Island. It can care for up to six newborns who may be premature or need special observation. The hospital offers antepartum care, labour and delivery, post-partum, and neonatal care, including normal births, multiple births, breech, vacuum, forceps, and caesarean section deliveries.

The Health Services Authority offers a wide range of general family health services in a modern and welcoming environment. The clinic is staffed with trained physicians who can provide medical care for non-emergent conditions, preventive healthcare check-ups, medicals for insurance or employment purposes, and routine care for chronic diseases.
