The Cayman Islands Traffic Regulations 2012 states that any child travelling in a motor vehicle must wear a seatbelt or, for those under two, be seated in a car seat attached by a seatbelt.
All newborn car seats should be installed in the rear facing position in the back seat. Use a rear facing car seat for as long as your baby fits into it, as they offer the best protection in the event of an accident. The law states that a rear facing child’s car seat must not be fitted in a seat with a front airbag.
Children’s car seats can be bought at The Bump to Baby. Ecay Trade also has second hand options.
