For the purpose of a work permit application, a bank account application or any other reason when you may need your identity verified, you will need a Cayman Islands Notary Public to certify that the document is an authentic and correct copy of the original.

You can find a list of all licensed and active notaries on the Judicial website. The standard charge is CI$25 per stamp.
Whilst a document authorised by a Notary Public is needed for overseas use, if you need a certified copy of a document for local use only, a Justice of the Peace (JP) can authorise your document for free. The Justice of the Peace Association has an office at the Government Administration Building, which is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-12pm for document certification.
