About Dr Rosalind Ashton
Dr Rosalind Ashton is a General Practitioner with a special interest in dermatology. Originally from Nova Scotia, she completed her BA&Sc at McGill University and her MD at Dalhousie University, followed by family medicine residency training at the University of Ottawa, where she also taught medical students and residents.
She holds an MSc in Clinical Dermatology from the St John’s Institute of Dermatology at King’s College London, with research focused on paediatric immunobullous disease. Her experience includes clinical trials and skin cancer care at the Dermatology Ottawa Research Centre, as well as virtual dermatology practice with DermCafe, with particular expertise in acne and cosmetic skincare.
Dr Ashton also has a strong interest in women’s health, including contraception (IUDs and implants), early pregnancy care, cervical screening, sexual health, and vulvar conditions. She has additionally worked with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada supporting medical assessments for new immigrants.
Outside of work, she enjoys fitness classes, exploring Cayman’s food scene and local flora and fauna. She is fluent in French.
