The Purple Ribbon Bus is a free bus service in Cayman that is designed to prevent drinking and driving over the holiday season.

On New Year’s Eve 2022, December 31st, designated Purple Ribbon buses will be displaying flashing purple lights and purple exterior reflective signs. Although the buses have designated pick up locations, the buses will also pick up passengers at all major restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and bus stops.

Buses travel to all five districts on Grand Cayman, and Cayman Brac from 9pm-4am on New Year’s Eve. They run every 15 minutes between West Bay and George Town, and hourly to Bodden Town, East End and North Side.

The purple Ribbon Bus service will be FREE to both residents and visitors.

Taking the bus reduces the risks of fines, jail time, injuries and deaths on the roads of Cayman.

Designated drivers can also pick up a purple ribbon key chain at any of the participating venues and flash it at your friendly bartender or wait staff throughout December and receive free sodas all night. #arrivealive345
