The Cayman Islands Humane Society’s charity book shop, located upstairs, directly above the shelter. For as little as $2 you can give your loved ones the gift of Literacy! And help save lives. All proceeds from book sales go toward veterinary care, shelter, and food for the animals rescued.

The Book Loft is carefully curated by a amazing set of volunteers who select a delightful collection of books that are practically brand new (if you squint just a little!). You'll be amazed by the variety and sheer volume of books available in such a cozy space—what starts as a quick stop can easily turn into an hours-long browsing session. In addition to books, They also offer gifts, stationery, greeting cards, paper, as well as games, puzzles, and computer games for both adults and children.

If you're already visiting, why not make a day of it? Stop by downstairs and take one of the shelter dogs for a walk. Though they can't speak, we promise it will brighten their day!

Volunteers for the front desk and book sorting are always appreciated, as well as those who are kind enough to donate any of their cherished novels or discover new ones in-store. By donating your old things, you can make space for new beautiful things to come your way! Second hand shopping and donating is also a great way to promote sustainable practices in your daily life. You can drop donations in the drop box or stop by during opening hours.

The Loft is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm, and is closed on Sunday and Monday. Debit and credit cards are only accepted for purchases over CI$12
