Superior Auto, in partnership with the HEART NSTA Trust, offers the NVQ-J Level 2 Motor Vehicle Repair Certification, a free, two-year full-time training programme for Caymanians, free to those aged 17 to 22.
The
programme combines classroom-based learning with practical workshop training. During the first 18 months, students complete both theory and hands-on instruction before undertaking a six-month apprenticeship in a working automotive environment.
The curriculum covers engine, transmission and electrical systems, engine management systems, steering and suspension systems, starting and charging systems, and electric and hybrid vehicle maintenance. Students also study advanced digital literacy and numeracy, language and communication, and entrepreneurship and professionalism.
Classes are held Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 4:00pm and Friday from 8:30am to 12:00pm. Students are provided with branded shirts, and successful graduates receive an internationally recognised qualification.
