Ambassadors of the Environment

With activities for children and adults alike, Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment introduces guests to the natural wonders and rich cultural traditions of the Cayman Islands.

Through their unique Caribbean eco-tours, the island’s ecological resources become a natural classroom and living laboratory in which adults, families and kids learn while having fun. At the heart of the Grand Cayman eco-tours are four basic principles: everything is connected; there is no waste in nature; everything runs on energy and biodiversity is good.

The program was born through a treasured partnership between The Ritz-Carlton and the nonprofit organization, Ocean Futures Society.

• Schedule of activities includes Ambassadors Kids ages four and up, Youth and Families.
• Activities range from immersive courses in nature, like Underwater Photography and Mangrove Kayak Tours, to interactive learning activities at the Ambassadors’ Heritage House.
• Jean-Micheal Cousteau trained Naturalists lead all Ambassadors of the Environment programmes.
• Ambassadors of the Environment also assists with planning special and fun birthday parties at Starfish Cay water park or on an eco-adventure at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

Tennis

The Courts at The Ritz-Carlton offers private or semi-private instruction and clinics in addition to the popular Cardio Tennis fitness programme. The Courts offer private or semi-private lessons for ages 3-16 years old, as well as after school classes. Pickleball courts are also available to rent.

Golf

The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club is set amid Grand Cayman’s lush scenery and was designed by Greg Norman. It features a nine-hole golf course designed to make its 470-yard-hole play feel like 600 yards winding through the saltwater canals of the North Sound. Named the World’s Best 9-Hole Golf Course by the World Golf Awards, the course is open to all levels, however, you have to be a guest at the hotel to play the course.

Starfish Cay Waterpark

Excitement and aqua adventures abound in the colorful Starfish Cay, where cool blasts of water surprise and delight for endless fun in the Caribbean sun. From a zero-entry splash pool, shallow enough for families to splash, play and explore, children enter a magical cove with interactive water nozzles and sail down gentle water slides. Above, a bright bucket is filled with water before soaking children with a refreshing waterfall. Passes are available to residents for CI$30 each. Starfish Cay can also be rented for birthday parties.
