MoneyGram is an international money transfer company based in the US. They offer a fast and secure way to send and receive money. Their global network includes well-known retailers and businesses in over 200 countries and territories.
MoneyGram has eight locations on Grand Cayman and two on Cayman Brac:
Grand Cayman:

To send money through MoneyGram:
- Locate your local MoneyGram agent
- Bring your ID, your recipients full name matching their ID and location and the amount you wish to send in cash (plus fees) - if you're sending to a bank account or a mobile wallet you'll need the recipient's bank name and account number or the mobile number with the international dial code
- Complete a send form
- Share your 8-digit reference number with your recipient (funds sent to a bank account will be sent directly into the account)
To receive money through MoneyGram:
- Locate your local MoneyGram agent
- Complete a simple receive form including your reference number
- Hand over the completed form and valid photo ID to receive your money
Managing your money:
- To cancel a transaction, you can visit the website, use the self-service portal, or return to the same agent location
- A full refund will be issued if the payment is cancelled within one hour, a refund (excluding fees) will be issued for cancellations made more than 1 hour and up to 180 days after payment
- Note: cancellations and refunds cannot be made if the receiver has already collected their funds or funds were deposited to their account
