About Hell (Geological Site)
Located in West Bay, this site consists of rugged blackened limestone, estimated to be 10-15 million years old. The jagged formations show the Island’s geographical evolution and are made up of fossils that are still embedded in the rocks.
It is named “Hell” due to its resemblance to what one may picture hell to look like. There is a post office where you can mail a postcard with a Hell postmark to prove you have been to Hell and back!
Although it is a unique experience, guests usually only spend about 10 minutes there, unless they are fascinated with geology. Entry is free.
