Christmas of Yesteryear
Christmas of Yesteryear celebrates Caymanian Christmas traditions with educational tours, cultural demonstrations and festive performances at Miss Lassie's historic home. During the second week of December, CNCF staff and volunteers, dressed in traditional Caymanian attire, guide residents, students and visitors through customs that formed part of Christmas preparations in the Cayman Islands. Demonstrations include backing sand in thatch baskets, laying conch shells, sweeping freshly sanded yards with rosemary brooms, rope-turning and basket weaving, before concluding with a performance by the Cayman Islands Folk Singers.
