An evening of refined musical contrast and connection, this piano recital explores the poetic Romanticism of Frédéric Chopin alongside the meditative, contemporary sound world of Philip Glass.

New York-based pianist Meg Lowenthal Akabas brings exceptional depth and sensitivity to this program. Trained with distinguished musicians affiliated with leading institutions such as The Juilliard School and the Manhattan School of Music - where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees - she has developed a versatile career spanning solo performance and collaboration. Her work as a piano accompanist with the New York School of Ballet and Ballet West further reflects her dynamic and expressive artistry.
