Meningitis Vaccination Clinic for Returning Students

The Public Health Department is hosting a free meningitis vaccination clinic for students returning from university overseas. This initiative aims to protect against meningococcal disease, particularly in light of recent cases abroad. Students who may have missed required vaccinations while studying overseas are encouraged to attend. Vaccination remains the most effective way to prevent meningitis. Free admission.

9 am – 1 pm
Public Health Clinic, Smith Road Medical Centre (2nd Floor)

This is a half-day clinic.

This clinic is specifically for students returning from overseas who have not yet received their meningitis vaccination. Attendees are asked to bring their immunisation records if available.

Students should bring immunisation records if available.This clinic is for returning students who missed vaccination prior to studying abroad.A separate clinic will be held in June 2026 for students starting university for the first time.Residents returning from the UK experiencing symptoms such as fever, severe headache, vomiting, stiff neck, or rash should seek medical attention immediately.
