The Cayman Islands Computer Science Society Hackathon

The Cayman Islands Computer Science Society (CICSS) Hackathon is a dynamic, inclusive gathering that welcomes participants of all technical backgrounds to tackle challenges and develop meaningful community solutions through innovative technology. The event offers participants the chance to brainstorm, collaborate, create, and showcase creative solutions that make a tangible difference in our community.
Event Overview:
- Duration: 8 hours
- Prize: $2,000 cash prize up for grabs
- Teams: Teams will be formed on the day of the event — no need to pre-select your team. Teams will consist of 2-5 people.
- Requirements: You’ll need to bring your own working computer and charger.
- Theme: The hackathon will focus on "hacking for social good" with the goal of making a meaningful impact for the Cayman Islands community.
Admission is free and the event is open to participants aged 15 and over. Refreshments will be available.
Pre-Hackathon Sessions will help level up your skills and increase your chances of winning, the Cayman Islands Computer Science Society is offering a series of sessions leading up to the event. These sessions will provide valuable tips and guidance. Visit the CyberSandbox webpage to register for individual sessions. Sessions are not mandatory but they will help you with the foundational skills needed to participate in the Hackathon.
