Reefs Go Live: From Ridge to Reef
“Reefs Go Live: From Ridge to Reef” explores how mangroves, seagrass and coral reefs are connected and why they are stronger together. These coastal habitats provide nursery areas for marine life, feeding grounds and natural carbon storage. The episode also explains how the water cycle links land and sea, and how pollution and overfishing can affect reef health. Featuring CCMI’s Blue Carbon Offset and Biodiversity programme with Butterfield, it shares findings from three years of research into how Cayman’s nearshore ecosystems store carbon and support climate resilience.
