Traditionally, the festive season kicks off with the Christmas breeze which starts to blow in November. Caymanians are big on Christmas decorations and a favourite tradition for many families involves checking out the impressive displays! Capt. Theo Bodden’s magnificent garden, opposite Sunset House, and Rex and Cecile Christon's twinkling front-yard, across from the South Shore apartment complex on Shamrock Road, both become a theatrical display of lights from early December - filling up with visitors each evening! Here's a summary of the kind of things to expect over the festive season in Cayman...
Late November 2025
November ushers in the holiday spirit across the Cayman Islands, beginning with Camana Bay’s beloved Annual Tree Lighting on 15 November. Families gather under the stars for live performances, free photos with Cinderella, and the magical moment the tree illuminates the Town Centre. The excitement continues on 22 November with a trio of festive favourites: the Pink Ladies Christmas Bazaar offering handmade gifts, children’s activities, and tea; the Cayman Islands National Museum Christmas Market featuring local artisans and entertainment; and Vigoro’s Seasonal Celebration showcasing décor, wreaths, and treats.
Santa also makes a special appearance at Bedside Manor for a cosy afternoon of cocoa and crafts. Toward the month’s end, Harbour Walk hosts its first Santa meet-and-greet, the Cinderella Pantomime opens at Prospect Playhouse, and Camana Bay launches the season’s first free family Santa photo session, officially setting the tone for a vibrant holiday season.

The Elmslie Church hosts an annual Christmas Carol Concert. Sing along with the Cayman National Choir and Orchestra, a Resident Company of the F. J. Harquail Cultural Centre, to all your Christmas favourites! Tuesday 9th and Thursday 11th December, 2025, 7.30pm.
Early to Mid-December 2025
December begins with the Rotary Annual Tree Lighting in George Town, a heartwarming gathering filled with schoolchildren’s carols and the community coming together to welcome the season. Throughout the first half of the month, Santa appears at multiple venues including Harbour Walk and Camana Bay, where families can enjoy several opportunities for complimentary photos. Holiday shopping comes alive through a series of markets, from Camana Bay’s artisan Evening Market to George Town’s bustling Small Business Holiday Market filled with handmade goods, local eats, and entertainment.
Family-focused events also shine, such as Santa’s Landing at Airport Park, where Santa literally arrives by plane, and nature-themed winter workshops hosted by Baobab Education. Mid-December brings charity fun runs like the Santa Run at Camana Bay and the Jingle Bell Run at Safehaven, alongside the Ritz-Carlton’s ever-popular Gingerbread House Workshops and Turtle Centre’s festive Breakfast with Santa.
