Vocational and professional training has come a long way in Cayman over the last few years. Traditional colleges and universities aside, there are also independent organisations, which offer all sorts of courses to help business professionals gain new and valuable skills. The following are a few businesses that offer training courses:

Community Vocational Training Centre Courses are open to students aged 17+ and there are no entry requirements. Students work towards a professional licence or to meet local industry standards to become an electrician, plumber, welder or a/c technician. Courses are held in the evenings from 6pm-9pm. Chamber of Commerce Professional Development & Training Centre
A range of one or two full-day courses are offered to assist businesses develop their employees. Seminars and workshops are held in the areas of customer service and business essentials, business basics, finance, supervision and management. Innovative Management & Professional Training (IMPT)
They offer two accounting programmes: the ACCA Qualification and the Foundations in Accountancy, as well as the ICSA certificate in Offshore Finance and Administration, the Certificate in Offshore Banking Practice (from the Chartered Banker) and Certifications in Management from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). Passport2Success: The programme is an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Employment and Gender Affairs, along with the support of major employers, which began in 2010. This employment preparedness course offers a 12 week programme for 17 to 23-year-old Caymanians and a 16 week programme for Caymanian Single Mothers, both designed to enhance workplace readiness skills and increase the employability of its participants, developing skills through training seminars, therapeutic intervention, community services and work experience. All applicants will be required to register with the NWDA which provides access to the National Job Link Programme connecting job seekers with employment opportunities and the Training and Development Unit to access internship and apprenticeship opportunities. Pitman Training Cayman offers flexible, self-paced training in: PA and Scretarial, General Office Skills, Microsoft Office, IT, Self and Career Development, Bookkeeping, and Web and Graphic Design. For details call (345) 746 7824.

Ready2Work KY is a government programme for unemployed, high school or recent university graduates. The programme delivers structured training, individual and group support and other training to mitigate the barriers to accessing gainful employment. Risk Consultancy Services Ltd. welcomes individuals/companies on the 30-hour OSA (Occupational Safety & Health) training programme. They offer training in rigging and lifting procedures for crane operations, fall protection training, scaffold building, forklift operator training, hazardous material handling, fire warden training and PHTLS training (pre-hospital trauma life support).
